Privacy Policy
Position2, Inc. takes your privacy seriously, and is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. This policy (the “Privacy Policy”) governs the collection and use of personally identifiable information (“PII”) that Position2 collects and receives via any Position2 website, or any other online or offline method.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, PII includes:
- Public or non-public information about you or your company, including without limitation, your name, address, email address, phone number
- Data relating your usage of Position2 products and services and,
- Any other information collected by Position2 that is not otherwise publicly available
Position2 collects PII when you:
- Browse Position2 web pages
- Register Online with Position2
- Browse the web pages of certain partners of Position2
- Use Position2 Products or services and
- Use the products or services of certain partners of Position2
Information such as IP address, certain cookies, data, and technical information about your computer, is collected automatically, and some PII is only collected when you enter it manually on our web pages.
Position2 uses PII for multiple purposes, including without limitation to,
- Correspond with you
- Provide aggregate (anonymous) data to our partners and clients
- Provide products and services to you
- Process financial payments from you
- Engage in product and market research, and
- Develop product enhancements and new products
Position2 may set and access cookies on your computer or use web beacons on Position2’s web sites and third party web sites. A cookie is a small data file that certain web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. You can control and/or delete cookies from being placed on your computer – for details, see aboutcookies.org. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit our page/site and some services and functionalities may not work.
Position2 may transfer PII and other information to the United States and/or other countries, for storage, processing, and use by Position2 and its affiliates
Position2 has implemented physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your PII. Any employees or consultants that are given access to your PII are subject to a confidentiality agreement as protective of your rights as this Privacy Policy.
Position2 does not sell, rent, license or share PII with non-affiliated companies or individuals, except in the following cases:
- When we have your permission
- When we use contracted partners with an obligation to protect the confidentiality of any PII disclosed to them, to provide certain services
- To respond to subpoenas, court orders or other valid legal process, including defending against or prosecuting legal claims
- To engage in legitimate efforts to investigate or combat illegal or fraudulent activities
- To comply with any applicable law or regulation, or
- To resolve customer disputes.
You can request that Position2 delete your PII by giving Position2 notice at the email address delete@position2.com. This email address is protected from spam bots, and you need javascript enabled to view it. However, if you, or your company, are using any Position2 products and services, such requests will not be honored during the term of any such use.
Position2 may amend this Privacy Policy at any time at its sole discretion without prior notice to you. In the event of any material changes to the Privacy Policy, Position2 will give you notice of the changes via email and offer you an opportunity to opt-out of the new policy by deleting your PII.
Your use of the Position2 website, or any Position2 products or services, is deemed to be your consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy, the Position2 Terms of Service (“PTOS”) and to be given legal notice solely by email.
DSP Platform Privacy Policy
Position2 sources users from multiple ad platforms to drive users to our client’s sites. If you land on one of our client’s sites and you clicked on a banner ad to get to the site, chances are good you interacted with our DSP platform. Our DSP platform is connected to ad exchanges and these ad exchanges share certain information with us when we place a banner on ( or just participate in the auction for the placement ) a publisher’s site.
Included in the shared information is a unique ID that identifies you. We build a profile over time of which sites you have visited on the ad exchange over time using this ID. Also included in the profile are the products and services you interact with on our advertiser’s sites.
Additionally, we collect the following information:
- Your IP
- Country
- State
- City
- The site you are visiting
- Device
- Carrier
- Phone Make
We use all information collected on the user to feed into our ad targeting algorithm to serve the user the most relevant ads.
We do not collect any personally-identifying information as the business models of our clients do not need you to provide it via forms or sign-ups.
If you suspect that you entered one of our sites via our DSP product and you wish to be opted out of being targeted and delete your profile you can do so by navigating to the privacy policy page of the site and clicking on the ‘Opt-Out and Delete My Profile” button. After clicking this button we will remove all your information from our system and stop targeting you with ads.
